About the Role: The Senior Media Strategist is responsible for creating complex paid media strategy in both traditional and digital platforms to support a client’s business goals, assessing opportunities in emerging channels, identifying success measurements, and seeing the plan through to a smooth execution. This is a Dallas, TX based hybrid role (2 days in-office and remote work).
You will create strategy for all media types: social, TV, CTV, radio, programmatic, out-of-home, search, and more. You will deliver ongoing insights and media recommendations to help improve media impact and help your client reach their goals. The ideal candidate has experience in media planning and execution, marketing and communications strategy, and how to drive leads and measure ROAS. This position will report directly to the Group Director, Media Strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead clients with comprehensive media strategy to achieve business goals. Must be able to sell-in and defend the importance and role of each media type across top-of-funnel, mid-funnel and lower-funnel stages
- Collaborate with Group Planning Director and your client to establish clear media objectives that directly support business objectives
- Manage multiple, direct and indirect stakeholders to deliver a complete media plan
- Support the implementation of the media plan working with all buying and execution teams, including client teams
- Coach and mentor associate level media strategists
- Evaluate a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the audience
- Develop well defined media recommendations designed to maximize
- Work with cross-agency client teams defining scope, recommending measurable plans, budgeting accordingly, and connecting the creative execution to appropriate paid media tactics
- Analyze trends and present results to clients with insights on performance of media campaigns and channels
- Confidently lead presentations, engage on client calls, share POVs, and assemble strong teams to help deliver the most effective media plans
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5+ years of paid digital media experience (restaurant/retail experience a plus)
- Multichannel media experience required
- Experience in traditional media such as TV, radio, print, OOH
- Strong digital knowledge across SEM, Paid Social, YouTube, CTV, Display
- Clear understanding of the media planning and buying process
- Ability to articulate and persuasively present media recommendations while remaining flexible
- Ability to translate client goals and brand campaign objectives into an ongoing campaign measurement plan
- Proven experience with integrated advertising campaigns across multiple devices and media channels demonstrating impact on the client’s business
- Experience with measurement and media analytics including attribution tools
- Working knowledge of DoubleClick (DCM) or similar AdServer
- Ability to work proactively in a collaborative team setting with both onsite and remote teams
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- While not required, experience using data visualization software such as Salesforce, Tableau, or DOMO is beneficial
- Strong written and oral communication skills, client service skills and time management skills
- Hands on experience with media planning tools/research
